Timmins Gold

Since 1910, the Timmins area has produced nearly 70 million ounces of gold, making it one of the two of most productive gold camps in North America. Located on the Destor Porcupine Fault, VG Gold Corp.'s neighbours, which include several Goldcorp mines, that are producing several hundred thousand ounces annually from operations.

VG Gold's Timmins properties are surrounded by, or adjacent to, three of the major Canadian gold deposits: the Hollinger, McIntyre and Dome mines. Production from the mines surrounding the VG Gold properties is more than 50,000,000* ounces of gold. Total production from the Timmins camp is nearing the 70,000,000 ounce gold mark.

VG Gold is drilling its Timmins properties to increase shareholder value and improve the economic potential of each property. VG Gold has carried out exploration drilling on the Fuller property, the Buffalo Ankerite property and the Davidson Tisdale Property over the past few years. The current phase of exploration drilling is taking place on the Paymaster Property.

Timmins is located adjacent to the major regional structure known as the Destor Porcupine Fault. Gold mineralization occurs in structurally controlled Archean lode gold deposits, typically found in secondary structures related to the Destor Porcupine Fault Zone.
